Carbon reduction grants of up to £25,000 are available to businesses within the Swansea City Council boundary. The grant is aimed to help businesses meet their carbon reduction goals and will provide up to 50% of funding for any carbon reduction project. The grant is open to all businesses except those involved in the growing of food.
Most important of all is the fact that the grant will also fund 50% of the price for a business to undergo a professional carbon audit in order to determine what the most effective carbon reduction actions are. Given that carbon literacy is still way below where it should be it is critical in my view that all businesses looking to reduce their carbon footprint first undergo a professional carbon audit of their business in order to identify the most effective carbon reduction actions.
So if you are a business within the Swansea area you are eligible to be funded up to 50% for the price of having a professional carbon fotprint done. The only requirement is that someone from your organisation must undergo a day training provided by Swansea City Council.
